Lately, I have had numerous people ask me if I am doing alright. I don’t feel off or anything and feel I have talked more than I usually do, but apparently, according to people, I have been more quiet lately. When you hear something from multiple people, it should make you think if there is something about you then.
Truthfully, I am always good. Life is good. I am extremely busy between training and teaching. There is not much more to it. The reason I bring this up, though, is I am SO GRATEFUL how many of you choose to look out for me and check in. When I do my follow ups, I have many parents say specifically, "How are YOU doing? You check in on us and we want to check in on you."
Thank you to all of you who reach out to me all the same and ask how I am doing. It does mean the world to me to be in a position of leadership for your children, and to have you not only trust me but also care to ask about how I am doing. This leads me to my next point...if you ever feel I am off or slacking in my duties (teehee duty) as a role model, please be sure to let me know. I am human and can misstep or not catch myself on an off day. With your support and awareness, it only helps me to be a better person and teacher.
I do not feel I have slacked on my teaching or excitement with the students. I do feel I have taught the best classes I can. This is a goal of all of my instructors. But if you ever feel otherwise, please let me know so I can fix any issues immediately. Your transparency helps me to better the community I wish to build for our kids. This will allow me to expand and help more children and adults alike. You are a part of that journey in helping me since you are the parents in our dojo. I truly appreciate you helping me by simply checking in on me also.
The truth is, I am ALWAYS GOOD and I do believe that about myself because my baseline for good is always stable. It could always be worse. And when I know I have my students to be my best self for, I have no other reason but to feel good. Thank everyone for your love and kindness. I only wish to reciprocate and give that back through martial arts.
