Earning a black belt is not for everyone, However, many people that could have benefited from long-term training quit because they didn't make the commitment to get their black belt. Of course, there's no guarantee that if someone does makes the commitment they will achieve the rank. But one thing is for sure, once a student commits to getting a black belt, he or she is way more likely to get through the challenges that are surely coming their way than if they didn't make that commitment. That's why, as instructors, we should encourage our students to make that commitment as soon as possible.
The commitment to "Martial Arts for Life"
I believe that to commit to black belt is not enough. Many times in my career, I've seen someone get his or her black belt and then quit because that's as far is their eyes could see. That's why we stress the concept of "Martial Arts for Life". There is a big difference between someone that got their black belt and someone what is a black belt. We help our student to achieve these milestones and watch them grow and impact their lives forever.
