I want to say how grateful I am to have such good people and families within our dojo. I had the fortune of being invited to a bonfire with two of our finest families at the dojo over the weekend. They were so gracious in their hospitality, providing some tasty hot apple cider and the perfect thing for bonfires, SMORES!
I am not a guy that gets out much due to my busy schedule and focus on the dojo. I can tell you, though, it was such a delight to sit down, relax, and just laugh with these amazing people. I got to hear some of the preposterous things that kids say when they are around each other lol, since three of the four children at the house are students at the dojo. It melted my heart to see their faces and enjoy a lovely evening outdoors with great company. The dojo blessed me with the opportunity of meeting these genuine families, and has blessed me with knowing all of you, and even better, getting to know our favorite thing this world has to offer - your children. I pray every morning and think about 5 things I am grateful for each morning. Every morning the first thing I am always thankful for are our students at the dojo. Without those kiddos, I would not be alive. I was especially grateful this morning for the opportunity of being welcomed into my student's family's home for a joyous evening and for being able to have such great connections in my life. The dojo has always been more than just a karate place. It has been a community. So thank you to all of you for being a part of that.
