Sempai Caleb Parish
Hi! My name is Sempai Caleb Parish. I have been doing karate at Zahand's Martial Arts for 9 years. Along with martial arts I do soccer, cross country, and track. I am varsity in all athletics I participate in.Not only am I am I an athlete but I am also a student ambassador at St. Vincent/St. Mary High School and have kept a 4.0 gpa throughout my 2 years of high school. If I'm not busy with sports I enjoy playing video games and spending time with my family.
Some of my accomplishments consist of me holding the long jump record at Old Trail School, being a member of the EUSAIMAA Black Belt Hall of Fame, and making it to regionals as a sophomore in track and field.
My love for karate started when I was little. In first grade, we had an art project to make a paper mache daruma doll and we had to put something we wanted to accomplish or become when we were older, and I put I wanted to be a karate teacher. From a very younf age, I've loved karate. My parents saw my passion, signed me up, and we never looked back. I love it because it gives everyone with every background a home and an opportunity to be yourself. And you get to hit things which is always fun. My joy for karate not only comes from winning tournaments but really comes from teaching out students. That is one of the reasons I've stuck with karate all these years and why I love being a part of ZMA.
